The Maynooth Experience is for everyone, and NUIM welcomes learners with disabilities. Almost 3.5% of our student body, well above the national average, are people with disabilities. We recognise that a disability can impact upon students ability to participate in university life which is why we work with learners to help ensure that impact is minimised. Read more

 

Launch of Disability Access Route to Education 6th October 2009

The Disability Access Route to Education (DARE), aimed at all school leavers with disabilities, is being launched by the seven universities, Athlone IT, DIT, National College of Ireland and the Mater Dei Institute of Education. This supplementary admissions scheme recognises the impact of disability on educational attainment and on progression to higher education. Read more
